CHEF MARCO LEGASTO

 

Chef Marco Legasto graduated from the IHMES Isle of Man in the UK where stayed on to work at The Hilton. He manned the bars before moving on to Ocean Castle and Imperial Hotel before flying to New York where he did private catering and functions.

In 2003, he came back to Manila as a Guest Chef at Restaurant 12 in Greenbelt, as well as the (now defunct) Westin Philippine Plaza Hotel. He also spearheaded the team of Spirals Restaurant before opening his own Prime 101 on Pasong Tamo.

In 2016, along with his wife, Mai Lacson Campillo-Legasto, he opened Abuela's, where they celebrate heirloom dishes with more modern renditions.
